FAQ about heat pumps
Is the backup heater included in the price of the heat pump?
From 4 to 10 kW a 3 kW heating element is included in the price, from 10 to 16 kW a 9 kW heating element is included.
What is included in the delivery of the Midea heat pump?
The scope of delivery includes:
- 3 kW electric heating element for 4-10 kW WP (see article number “E3” at the end),
- 9 kW electric heating element for 12-16 kW heat pumps and wired remote control, and much more. (For the complete list, see the enclosed manual 2.4 Accessories starting on page 10.)
What are the prices for the heat pump?
As an installer, you get a 45% discount on the list price of the heat pump.
What else should one consider?
Please also see 6.4 Connection to the power supply (p. 24) for specific wiring.
Which accessories are helpful for heat pump installation?
The MH Kit significantly simplifies installation and connection ( as can be seen in the two diagrams in the MH Kit brochure ) and costs extra ( list price: EUR 585 net ). Purchase price upon request.
Do you also offer buffer and drinking water storage?
We recommend that you purchase accessories such as buffer and drinking water storage tanks directly from your local wholesaler, as Midea unfortunately does not currently offer any accessories itself.

Do I need an additional module for cascading two Midea heat pumps?
No, for this, refer to the wiring diagram for the cascade system in the manual. One heat pump will operate as the master, the other as the slave. And to separate domestic water from drinking water, a 3-way valve with 230V on, 230V off is required.
