The HMS-1600 (MPN: HMS-1600-4T) from Hoymiles is the perfect microinverter for your balcony power plant. The compact, lightweight unit (only 4.7 kg) is suitable for solar power production with up to four solar panels with an output of 320W to 540W+ each. Like all other Hoymiles microinverters, it is suitable for long operating hours and a wide range of PV module applications thanks to its very low startup voltage (only 22 V) and extremely wide DC input operating voltage range (16-60 V).

Compared to the previous model from the HM series The HMS-1600-4T offers increased security for rooftop solar power plants through rapid shutdown and an isolated transformer. The new sub-1G wireless solution enables more stable communication with the Hoymiles DTU gateway.

Optimal reliability

Microinverter systems are inherently more reliable than conventional inverters. The decentralized design of a microinverter system ensures that a malfunction does not cause the entire PV system to fail. Hoymiles microinverters are designed to operate at full power in ambient temperatures up to +65°C (150°F). The microinverter enclosure is designed for outdoor installation and meets IP67 protection standards.

Simple structure

PV systems with Hoymiles microinverters are very easy to plan. There's no need to install cumbersome conventional inverters. Each microinverter can be quickly mounted on the PV mounting rack or directly beneath the PV module. The PV module is connected to the microinverter directly on-site, eliminating the risk of human exposure to dangerously high DC voltage.

Power limitation to 600 watts / 800 watts

Would you like to throttle your Hoymiles inverter or limit its power output?

Due to the current limit of 600 watts for balcony power plants, we offer the option of reducing the output of our 1600-watt inverters to 600/800 watts. This allows you to use more powerful inverters as a balcony power plant and be optimally prepared for the future.

The reduction of the output power of the Hoymiles inverter is carried out by us via software and can be subsequently reversed or changed to a different value.

To limit the power output, the inverter must be located on-site; we cannot throttle the inverter remotely. Therefore, we recommend that you order this service when ordering your balcony power plant.

After we have throttled the inverter, you will receive a throttle certificate from us. With this certificate, you can register your balcony power plant with the market data register and your grid operator and benefit from simplified registration.

For this you will receive a certificate of power limitation with serial number*.

Throttling can be removed or set to 800W by authorized partner.

* Please note that we cannot guarantee that your grid provider will accept this. Most grid providers, such as Westnetz, do not require you to specify the inverter type when reporting. Therefore, this will be reported as a 600W inverter.
