Hoymiles inverter throttle / limit power (1600W to 800W)

Note: If you did not purchase the inverter from us, you must first return it to us before we can reduce the power.

Would you like to throttle your Hoymiles inverter or limit its power output?

Due to the current limit of 800 watts for balcony power plants, we offer the option of having inverters with higher output power throttled to 800 watts. This allows you to use more powerful inverters as a balcony power plant and be optimally prepared for the future.

The reduction of the output power of the Hoymiles inverter is carried out by us via software and can be subsequently reversed or changed to a different value.

To limit the power output, the inverter must be located on-site; we cannot throttle the inverter remotely. Therefore, we recommend that you order this service when ordering your balcony power plant.

After we have throttled the inverter, you will receive a throttle certificate from us.

With the certificate, you can register your balcony power plant with the market data register and network operator and benefit from simplified registration.

For this you will receive a certificate of power limitation with serial number*.

Throttling can be removed or set to 800W by authorized partner.

* Please note that we cannot guarantee that your grid provider will accept this. Most grid providers, such as Westnetz, do not require you to specify the inverter type when reporting. Therefore, this will be reported as an 800W inverter.

- How does this work for new customers?

- How does this all work for our existing customers who have already received the system?

1. You will receive the order confirmation.

4. You will receive the inverter back throttled and the certificate digitally via email.

- How much would it cost to restore to a different service later?

Restoring the inverter to a different power output requires that the inverter be returned and reconfigured. Therefore, a flat fee of approximately EUR 49 will apply.

- What alternatives are there? Can I do the throttling myself?
